Better late than never...

The ladies of The Living Photo Booth Project have been busy with typical Holiday ventures, but would like to recap on a successful evening at the Art Bar's Country Western Christmas Party.

The evening kicked off with a special VIP hour for the regulars. Of course they were quite prepared for the country western theme and barely needed our custom props to complete their outfits. See below...

When the doors opened to the general public, The Living Photo Booth Project's props began to emerge. Favorites included a lasso, mistletoe, various mustaches, horses on sticks, and our most important custom prop, Cowboy Santa himself. As the night continued, the audience became more creative with their ideas.

Visit our flickr for a complete collection of the night's photographs. Special thanks to our Santa, Jake Newborn! Stay tuned for future sitings of The Living Photo Booth Project. Busy Weekend!

Well, Laura and April had a busy photo weekend. Together the ladies fine tuned their working relationship at Caesar's Pet on Friday and Saturday while Santa was in town talking to the K-9's, making sure they were good, and handing out rawhide candy canes to the pups. After taking a couple hundred photos together the three decided that the best photos are more about the moment, emotion, and relationship between the people involved and not the perfect smile and stiff pose.

Then on Sunday, the ladies performed The Living Photo Booth Project 'proper' at Hover Craft, an event that combines crafts, bands and local businesses to showcase the rad people that make Milwaukee. The Living Photo Booth Project actively engaged with the audience and created custom art on the spot. It was a joy to provide a living experience with the public and watch as guests smiled over printed image. April had made the comment that photography really brings people together!

A highlight from the event was when a 5 year old boy picked up a 'prop' polaroid camera and discovered about 5 sheets of 5 year old polaroid film. He took a number of photos of his mom and one of The LPBP Ladies.  It was very special and a buzz was circulating about the power of expired technology.

You can see all the photos from Hover Craft here. Also you can find us on Facebook to stay up to date on all The Living Photo Booth Project's happenings and going ons.  Next up: start preparing for Art Bar's Country Christmas Party on December 18th.
